Apparently money really doesn't buy love, with a recent survey showing that women don't consider money when looking for that special someone.
Around 93 per cent of women surveyed by first direct bank said that they would not turn down a date based on their prospective partner's salary, while 83 per cent wouldn't mind their man earning less than them or being unemployed.
"Women are now seen as equal providers in the family home, and we found that over ten million women would be happy to be the family's sole breadwinner," commented Jane Hanson, first direct's head of human resources.
"Over the last five years, first direct has seen a large rise in the number of solo account applications as more and more couples elect to keep their finances separate."
While just three per cent of women said that they would break up with their partner if he wasn't earning enough, 38 per cent said that they would try to change him by nagging him to improve his qualifications or get a better job.
If you have separated from your partner and had joint credit agreements, you should complete a disassociation form. Click here for more information.
