The Conservative Party has launched its own consumer site designed to help consumers deal with their debt problems. Known as sort-it.co.uk, the site features a garishly dressed individual, described in graphic terms as a "dirty little parasite" that "lives inside all of us", whose desire to overspend consumers are urged to ignore. The idea, run jointly with PR agency Karmarama, is to educate people not to give in to temptations to spend unwisely and get into bad debt. One feature of the site is a section where consumers who have run up bad credit tell their stories as a warning to others. It follows the launch of a blueprint by the party on Monday to tackle consumer debt, which included a commitment to introducing mandatory financial education for 11-18 year olds. If you're worried about debt and want to know where you stand financially order your personal credit file today. Next Article:  BBA offers anti-fraud tips |
