I've just moved address - can I still get credit |
Back to list |
Lenders use your credit history when considering your credit application. If you have recently moved address then you may not yet have managed to establish an accurate credit history at your new address.
You should always declare previous addresses that you have lived at and advise your existing credit providers of your change of address as soon as possible. They will inform the credit reference bureau's including Callcredit who will then either move your credit agreement to your new address, if they are still open, or link your new address and old ones together. This data will then be seen by lenders when they make a credit check on you. Click here for more help on how to do this.
